Chocolate Films produces video content for museums, art galleries, charities and corporate clients. 

We run Chocolate Films as a social enterprise, and use profits from the video production services to support a wide range of filmmaking experiences for children, young people and vulnerable adults.

We are currently looking for a new Business Development Executive to join the Sales and Marketing team in London. You will be directly supporting the Business Development Officer as well as looking after your own end-to-end sales process to build new business opportunities for both our directly-commissioned video Productions and our filmmaking Workshops.

Your role will include:

  • Responding to new business enquiries and meeting clients to pitch ideas
  • Writing film proposals and preparing tender responses
  • Liaising with the creative team to develop treatments
  • Identifying potential business opportunities and developing outbound sales campaigns

Essential attributes:

  • Excellent written communication skills, able to maintain accuracy at speed
  • Confident verbal communicator, happy picking up the phone and chatting with clients
  • Brilliant numerical skills and experience setting budgets 
  • Creative thinking, always coming up with new ideas
  • Inquisitive and interested, with an open mind to new trends
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A passion for video content and video production
  • A keen interest in and commitment to promoting accessibility, equality, and diversity within film and filmmaking

This is a job for someone at an early stage of their career. Experience in the following would be beneficial:

  • Prior experience or proven interest in video production, arts, heritage, or education (ideally all four)
  • Sales experience within any industry

RATE: £22,360 – £23,500 per year depending on experience

Holidays: 20 days holiday per year, plus bank holidays.

Duration: Permanent Full-time position (with an initial 6 month trial/ probation period)
