What is Chocolate Films Workshops?
Chocolate Films is a social enterprise video production company. For over 20 years, we have led the way in workshops for children and young people alongside our professional productions. Now, following a major reimagining of Chocolate Films Workshops operations we are introducing a new role to focus on increasing the impact, reach and efficiency of our company. Our key offers will be
- Competitively priced packaged workshops to schools.
- Higher value bespoke workshops
- Low-cost space for young creatives through our membership scheme
- Open Saturday workshops in our Nine Elms Studio
- Online courses that mirror our physical workshops, to enable us to reach wider audiences.
- Exciting awaydays/ team building products for business.
This is an exciting role that includes a range of duties. The role has been imagined as an organisational role, but for the right person it could also include facilitation and workshop design. The ideal person will love inspiring children and young people through creative learning. You will be working closely with the company directors and producers from Chocolate Films Productions.
On a day to day basis, you will be the first point of contact for sales both on the phone and online. You will manage our sales through Hubspot and report regularly. For online workshops you will be required to monitor payment systems.
You will liaise with the client before and after the workshop. You’ll book the kit and crew, create call sheets, brief the facilitators and manage evaluation. You will also be the point of contact for our membership scheme.
Kit and Supplies
You will make sure that the workshops side of the company is resourced with good quality kit and supplies at all times. This includes responding to issues from filmmakers about kit/supplies, checking inventory of kit and materials and recommending any improvements.
The workshops will be largely facilitated by professional filmmakers from Chocolate FIlms but we will be looking to supplement the team with regular freelancers and Saturday staff. You will work on building this team, from advertising for facilitators and organising DBS checks.
You will organise training sessions for the team, and monitoring/updating their training record. This will include internal facilitation training and external training for specific topics such as safeguarding and first aid training.
Annual salary of £29,000-£34,000 depending on experience.
Employment is contingent on a clean extended DBS check and clean driving license.
Location: Nine Elms Studio, Battersea London.
TIMES/DATES: 9-6 5 days per week. During school term-time, when we run Saturday open workshops, this will include four weekdays and a Saturday. In school holidays this can revert to five weekdays if preferred.
