FRINGE FOR FREEDOM

This trailer shot at the Edinburgh Fringe 2018 will be used for the 2019 festival. We were given a free reign in terms of the creative execution. So, we decided that it should be high impact and our lead filmmaker wanted it to be from the perspective of somebody attending the fringe for the first time. The video is set to a poem that was written as a celebration of the festival and embodies what this unique event is all about.

BEGINS AND ENDS WITH EDINBURGH

We used a local actor who we found online. The film was shot by a two-man crew who work in our Glasgow office, who had a great time filming around the city. The actor was wearing a body brace with the camera attached, which attracted attention and encouraged strangers to join in. This was our first commission from the Edinburgh Fringe and we’ve since made more films together, including one focused on its outreach programme.
