Co-produced campaign film
Redthread is a fantastic charity that supports young people who are victims of violence. Chocolate Films worked with Redthread to produce a short film to explain the service to new service users.
It was essential for the film to connect with vulnerable young people, so, as well as working with the charity itself, we ran a series of development workshops with its youth groups at several points in the film’s production. The young people advised on look, characterisation, messaging and script and even recorded the voiceovers themselves.
Using animation to raise awareness of social issues
Chocolate films works extensively with charities and youth organisations, often co-producing animation with service users. Recent work includes films that look at mental health for young people, an animation produced with young people in a young offenders institute, and films to campaign against human trafficking in sport.
