Chocolate Films has clinched the Best Creative Sector Business title at the prestigious 2025 Wandsworth Business Awards, marking a high point in our two‑decade‑long journey as a proud Wandsworth institution. Co‑founder and director Rachel Wang accepted the award on our behalf, reinforcing our commitment to creativity, community, and the borough we call home.
A Proud Moment for Wandsworth’s Creative Community
On the 11th June 2025, the glittering ceremony hosted by Jenni Falconer at the Clapham Grand recognised exceptional local businesses. Among 14 diverse categories from hospitality to sustainability, Chocolate Films stood out in the creative sector, beating a host of strong contenders. This is no mean feat in the year that Wandsworth is the London Borough of Culture. This recognition reflects our team’s unwavering dedication to craftsmanship, storytelling and social impact.

Rachel Wang: Embodying Entrepreneurial Vision
Rachel Wang has been a driving force behind Chocolate Films for over 24 years. Not only did she lead the company to this win, but she was also shortlisted for the Business Owner/Entrepreneur of the Year award – a testimony to her visionary leadership. As co‑director, Rachel has steered Chocolate Films to continuously push creative boundaries while nurturing growth through empathy, excellence and social purpose.
Two Decades of Local Roots
Since our launch in 2001, Chocolate Films has been deeply embedded in the fabric of Wandsworth—through our roots in Battersea and now our purpose‑built Nine Elms Studio. Situated in the heart of the borough, the studio is fully equipped for shooting, editing, and dressing, and highlights our focus on accessibility and top‑tier production values. Nestled by the US Embassy, this 80 m² state‑of‑the‑art studio is not only a hub for corporate and charity productions but also a dynamic learning space. More than just a facility, it’s a community space: open to local charities, schools, social enterprises—and those eager to tell their stories. The studio embodies our belief in giving back to our local communities.
The Social Enterprise Advantage
As a social enterprise, Chocolate Films blends commercial excellence with social purpose. Over 3,000 children and young people participate annually in our workshops, where they gain hands‑on experience in video production—learning scripting, shooting, editing and storytelling. Our commitment to social impact is inseparable from our creative mission, and this award recognises not just our films, but the change we make through storytelling.
Thank You to Wandsworth Chamber of Commerce
Thanks so much to The Wandsworth Chamber of Commerce. This is a brilliant organisation in its own right promoting the diversity of business in the borough at an exemplary level. The Chamber is led by award-winning business leader Beverley Corson, who managed to build it up from scratch after the COVID-19 pandemic, and it showcases the variety of strong businesses in Wandsworth.
