Great Content & Social Benefit
We’re a full service video production company. Our tight team of over 20 full time producers, filmmakers, animators, writers create content from the initial idea, all the way to distribution. We’re based in Glasgow and London, we work with our own kit and we recently built our own central London studio – Nine Elms Studio, just by the US Embassy in Battersea.
But unlike almost every other agency we’re a social enterprise . Our profits support Chocolate Films Workshops – these are filmmaking experiences and programmes that we deliver to about 3000 children and young people annually. So when you work with Chocolate Films, you get fantastic video content – and make the world a little bit better!

1000 LONDONERS
1000 Londoners is a landmark documentary series that captures the vibrant, diverse spirit of London through the personal stories of its residents. Spearheaded by Chocolate Films, the project showcases one-minute films profiling individuals from all walks of life, each with a unique story to tell. With over 400 portraits and counting, 1000 Londoners serves as a rich, evolving archive of urban life.
Chocolate Films conceived the series, and its team members produce and direct the majority of the content. Other content is created by members of London’s communities on projects led by Chocolate Films Workshops.
1000 Londoners demonstrates the company’s deep commitment to community storytelling and social engagement. The project highlights Chocolate Films’ belief in authentic filmmaking and inclusive narratives.
1000 Londoners, is not just a film series—it’s a living portrait of a city, and a powerful example of Chocolate Films’ creative and cultural impact.
A New Central London
Video Studio
Chocolate Films is opening a new, purpose-built studio in 9 Elms, near Battersea Power Station and the US Embassy. This exciting space will be ideal for most charity, corporate, and documentary shoots. It’s 80m2, with soundproofing, great lighting and a comfortable dressing room. It will be available to use for shoots from Monday to Friday with both wet and dry hire available. On weekends, it’s open to the next generation of filmmakers, with workshops, clubs and bespoke experiences.
